Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a day to remember the men and women who laid down their lives so that this nation could remain free.

Every right we enjoy: the freedom to speak, worship, vote, gather, and live as Americans, has been defended by generations willing to sacrifice everything. Their courage reminds us that liberty is never guaranteed; it is preserved by duty, honor, and sacrifice.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

Today we honor those heroes who gave everything in service to this nation. We remember their sacrifice, pray for their families, and recommit ourselves to protecting the freedoms they secured with their lives. May God bless the memory of the fallen, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

At our May general meeting, the Williamson County Young Republicans endorsed:

Caroline Harris Davila for Texas HD52
Sarah Moore for Judge of the 512th District Court
Carole Callahan for Williamson County Treasurer
Elexis Grimes for PEC District 2 Director

Also, we want to highlight the endorsements made in this primary and coming general elections:

Happy Mother’s Day from the Wilco YRs.

We honor and highlight our own mothers and the mothers who shape families, communities, and nations through faith, sacrifice, and steadfast love. From the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, to Hannah’s faithful prayers for Samuel, Scripture reminds us that the influence of a godly mother can echo through generations.

America’s story is filled with strong mothers as well, women like Phyllis Schlafly, who championed faith, family, and conservative values for generations, and countless frontier, military, and church mothers who carried courage and conviction into every corner of this country. Happy Mother’s Day to the women who lead with grace, strength, and conviction every single day.

Let’s go out and have a great time watching and cheering for Round Rock Express against the Salt Lake Bees at the Dell Diamond on May 29th at 7PM.
