Ten of your RMVFD firefighters participated in an Engine Company Bootcamp this past weekend, led by the excellent instructors from Squad 58 Training Collective.

These dedicated volunteers, along with others from area departments gave up their entire weekend to train and become better firefighters. Nozzle work, hose lays and advancement, search and rescue, forcible entry techniques, and working in the burn trailer under actual live fire conditions were some of the evolutions.

A huge thanks to all of these agencies. It's great to see all the various fire crews working together!

This week, RMVFD welcomed a new Command/Rescue truck, replacing our old 2007 unit.

Thanks to donations from the community, we added a mini compressed air foam system—turning just 10 gallons of water into the equivalent of 200 gallons of firefighting solution.

By stationing this truck at a firefighter’s home at all times, we can cut response times by 10–15 minutes, arriving sooner to provide care & coordinate resources faster when every second counts.. It carries BLS medical gear, rescue equipment, a command center, and now enhanced fire suppression.

Thanks to our wonderful community for supporting RMVFD!
