The Round Lake Fire Protection area includes the Southern portion of the town of Malta, the Eastern portion of the town of Ballston and the Village of Round Lake. It stretches from the Foxwander neighborhood in Luther’s Forest to the North, to Country Knolls in the South to, Timber Creek and Steeplechase in the West. It includes parts of two school districts (Shen and Ballston Spa), hotels, apartment complexes, a historic village, suburbs, light industrial and rural areas. Today we had the pleasure of participating in Career day at the Malta YMCA Learning Center, along with Malta Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and the Bus company. Perfect weather to have the kiddos outside for some sunshine and checking out the cool Firetrucks 🚒, Patrol vehicles 🚓, and school bus 🚌.

Our thoughts are with our brothers and sisters with the Menands Fire Department as they deal with the aftermath of a devastating fire at their station today.

Yesterday members of the Round Lake Fire Department paid their respects to 40 soldiers from the Continental Army as they were taken to be laid to rest in Lake George. The remains of the Revolutionary War soldiers were escorted by motorcade from the New York State Museum in Albany.

This afternoon we were dispatched to a report of a capsized boat with people in the water on Round Lake. Arriving units found a capsized sail boat. The occupants were brought to shore by MR 547. We would like to thank Arvin Hart Fire Company and Ballston Lake Fire Department for their assistance.
