The Board of Education recognized Kairi Trujillo for receiving the Congressional Art Competition award!
Each year, the Congressional Institute hosts an art competition to celebrate high school artists and connect them with their representatives in Congress. There are eleven schools in each congressional district, and each school can submit up to ten pieces from their students.
Kairi received an honorable mention from the competition this year for her pen and ink drawing titled “Emerging from the Ink.” This is the first time a Round Lake High School student has received this award in ten years.
Congratulations, Kairi!
