🏆🐯 A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE: CELEBRATING FOUR OUTSTANDING ROTHSAY TIGERS AND A SEASON TO REMEMBER! 💙💛

🐯💙💛 The Rothsay Tigers were proudly represented by four outstanding athletes at the Section 6A Track & Field Meet at Concordia College. While they came up just short of qualifying for the State Meet, their performances and accomplishments this season deserve to be celebrated!

🏅 Loken Brandt – Shot Put: 40' 7.75" (10th Place)
🏅 Wyatt Irish – Shot Put: 37' 11.75" (15th Place)
🏅 James Stockinger – Discus: 124' 4" (8th Place) - Personal Best & New School Record! Current Record was held by Zach Simmer who threw a 116’ 6” back on 4/26/2011.
🏅 Karson Jensen – Long Jump: 19' 7.5" (6th Place)

These athletes competed with heart, determination, and Tiger pride all season long. Along the way, they achieved personal bests, broke school records, and represented our school with excellence.

As their coach, I couldn't be more proud of what these young men have accomplished. Their hard work, dedication, and perseverance have made this a season to remember.

A special congratulations and best wishes to Loken and Karson as they begin the next chapter of their lives. Thank you for the memories, leadership, and commitment you've brought to Rothsay athletics. You have done great things, and there is no doubt you will continue to do great things in the future!

🔥🐅 ROTHSAY TIGERS TRACK & FIELD IS HEADED TO SECTIONS! 🐅🔥

What an incredible performance by our Tigers at Subsections! FOUR athletes are advancing to the Section Meet on Thursday, May 28 at Concordia College in Moorhead! 💪🏃‍♂️🥇

⭐ Karson Jensen soared to a 3rd place finish out of 20 competitors in Long Jump with an impressive leap of 19’ 10.75”!

⭐ Loken Brandt continues to rewrite the record books! Loken broke his own school record in Shot Put for the SECOND week in a row with a huge throw of 42’, earning 6th place out of 29 competitors! 💥

⭐ Wyatt Irish battled his way to a strong 9th place finish out of 29 in Shot Put with a throw of 39’ 11”!

⭐ James Stockinger crushed it in Discus, placing 7th out of 32 competitors with a throw of 115’ 02”!

👏 We are incredibly proud of these athletes for showcasing their dedication, resilience, and Tiger spirit throughout the season. Best of luck as they compete for a chance to earn their place at State! 💙💛

Mrs. Ness has had enough teaching for the year so the 5th graders are taking over. They had to create a lesson to teach to the class. A lot of great skills and information was "taught" to their peers. Lessons included: drawing cats, crocheting, making dirty sodas, creating hair buns, making slime, how to trap beavers, and lots of information on pugs, freshwater fish, pulsars, and dinosaurs.

🕐 Students will be dismissed at 1:00 PM as we wrap up the 2025-2026 school year.

Last Friday the 5th/6th grade classes took their trip to the Twin Cities. The first stop was at the State Capital. They continued on to the MN Science Museum and ended up at Fort Snelling. There were so many great things to see and learn about. The bus ride on a coach bus was a first for many as well. Overall, they had a great time.
