Anthony Allen with Watson’s Pest Control will be visiting the Rossville community on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Anthony received a solicitors’ license from Rossville City Hall and is permitted to conduct business in the City of Rossville from June 8, 2026 - June 9, 2026. The solicitors’ license includes the Assistant City Clerk’s signature as well as the city seal and will be carried by Anthony at all times.

Anthony drives a blue Ford F-150 with Arkansas plates but may also be seen going house to house on a one-wheel electric skateboard.

📋 The City of Rossville has retained Governmental Assistance Services (GAS) from Lawrence, KS to conduct a Low-to-Moderate Income survey to potentially qualify for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.

💵 A Community Development Block Grant could help offset the costs of future infrastructure and community facilities projects, potentially saving the city hundreds of thousands of dollars.

🚪 Representatives from GAS will be conducting the survey door-to-door beginning on May 29, 2026. Addresses will be visited using a random sample methodology, so not all houses will be asked to participate.

❓The survey professionals will knock at your door, identify themselves, and ask five brief questions.

⏰ Each survey will take less than one minute, and all survey responses will remain strictly confidential.

🌦️ Surveyors are expected to complete the survey in two weeks or less, depending on weather conditions.

🏘️ Your participation is crucial to determine eligibility that would allow the city to apply for CDBG funding. If you have any questions about the survey, please call City Hall at (785)584-6155.

The Rossville community will celebrate the official ribbon cutting for the newly restored McPherson Grandstands at Joe Campbell Field on Saturday, May 23rd at noon.📆

This event marks the renewal of Kansas’ last remaining all-wood baseball grandstand and honors the McPherson family’s century-long legacy in Rossville baseball.⚾️

Following the ceremony, the afternoon will feature an old-time baseball doubleheader along with classic ballpark festivities, creating a lively, nostalgic atmosphere for families, friends, and neighbors.🍿

It’s a milestone moment for the stadium and a chance for the community to come together around a landmark brought back to life.🐾
