Please join us in welcoming Officer Dalton Sorrells to the Roseville Police Department family!

Congratulations to Officer Sorrells on successfully completing the Field Training Program and beginning this next chapter of service with our department.

Officer Sorrells brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Roseville. He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Policy and a Master’s Degree in Government and National Security. Prior to joining our team, he served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service, a Deputy Sheriff in North Carolina, and a police officer with the Asheville Police Department.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Dalton also proudly served nearly six years in the United States Marine Corps. His commitment to public service runs deep, inspired by a family legacy in law enforcement.

When asked why he chose this profession, Dalton shared:

"I hail from a family of career law enforcement officers, including my dad who retired after 33 years. I saw the nobility of the profession and the impact that could be had from an early age and always knew it was what I was supposed to do."

When he's not serving the community, Dalton enjoys hunting, golfing, hiking and camping with his wife and their two dogs, and cheering on the Fighting Irish.

Officer Sorrells has been assigned to our A Day shift team. If you see him out in the community, be sure to say hello and give him a wave!

Welcome to Roseville, Officer Sorrells—we're proud to have you on the team and look forward to the positive impact you'll make in our community.

‼️ Action Alert‼️

Congress is considering legislation that would expand some veterans' programs by changing disability ratings for tinnitus and obstructive sleep apnea.

According to VA estimates, those changes could affect up to 1.5 million veterans and reduce disability compensation by approximately $57 billion over the next 10 years.

Veterans should not pay for veterans' benefits.

Take action today and tell Congress to Honor the Contract and protect earned disability compensation: https://votervoice.net/VFW/Campaigns/138035/Respond
