On Friday, to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, our Fire Explorer group participated in a stair climb with For The 343 and climbed over 1,200 stairs. The organization is a national movement honoring the 343 FDNY firefighters who climbed to save other and never came home, as well as all firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation experienced a tragedy that would forever change our country and the fire service.

On September 11, 2001, 2,977 people lost their lives, including 343 members of the FDNY who responded when they were needed most.

Today, Roseville Fire Department joins fire departments across the country in remembering the lives lost, honoring those who answered the call, and recognizing the countless first responders who served in the days, weeks, and months that followed.

For 25 years, the fire service has carried a simple promise:

Never Forget.

Today, our flag flies in their memory.

🇺🇸 9/11 Memorial Flag Raising

Tomorrow morning the Roseville Fire Department invites our community to join us at 7:46 am on the front apron of the fire station as we raise the American flag in remembrance of the lives lost and forever impacted by the attack of September 11th, 2001.

Throughout the day a large American flag will be displayed over the front of the station. Community members are welcome to stop by at any time to reflect, remember, and pay their respects.

As we mark 25 years since that tragic day we honor the victims, their families, the first responders, and all whose lives were forever changed.

Today is a huge milestone for Academy 26-01, as we complete nearly 5 weeks of the 8 week academy we will be conducting live fire training today allowing the firefighters a chance to practice all of the skills on a real fire ground!

A reminder of today's statewide tornado drills at 1:45 and 6:45 pm!

It's a good time to practice where you would go in a weather emergency.

Day 4 of Severe Weather Awareness Week is about tornadoes!

Tornado Watches highlight where tornadoes are most likely to develop. Tornado Warnings mean a tornado is occurring or expected soon. Tornado Emergencies are for confirmed violent tornadoes causing damage.
