SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE THURSDAY IN OHIO-

We will likely be tracking several clusters of storms moving northwest to southeast across Ohio on Thursday. The threat will likely begin in northern Ohio early Thursday morning with storms developing southward through the afternoon and evening hours. It is somewhat unclear how numerous storms will be through the afternoon and evening.

However, with plenty of instability or “storm fuel” to work with, any storms that do develop could quickly become severe. Storms will likely be a bit more likely in the Level 2 (out of 5) risk area.

The main threat from storms will be from damaging wind gusts and hail. Also, frequent lightning is likely. While to tornado threat does appear quite low, an isolated spin up cannot be ruled out.

While cleaning, doing yard work, or working outside, use caution!

🌡️ Heat index values up to 103°F are expected from 1 PM this afternoon through 8 PM Wednesday across portions of southeast Ohio and surrounding areas.

High temperatures and humidity can lead to heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

💧 Drink plenty of water
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning
⏰ Limit your time outdoors during the hottest part of the day
👕 Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
⚠️ Watch for signs of heat illness in yourself and others

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and know your limits!

⚪️Today, Members of the Roseville Vol. Fire Department took part in Auto Extrication Training at A-One Towing.

🔵 Dylan Beatty with MESFire who we purchased the tools from, was on hand to go over the tools and different ways to extricate victims.

🔴Our members spent several hours training and our own members provided instruction as well to teach the members new ways and tricks while preforming extrication.

😎Training is a key component of the Fire Service and we strive to stay on top of our training.
