Please note that the meeting scheduled and planned for Highland FD this month, has just been postponed. Due to the requirements placed on us by the health situation in our country, we are moving the date and place to our next regular scheduled meeting which will be 6/18/20 at the Ulster hose #5, under the pavilion at 7 o'clock. We are sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see everyone at this meeting since it will be our joint meeting with the Ulster County Fire Chiefs association.

Respectively submitted,
Jim Crowley Secretary/Treasurer

To all our followers. Please retain your information from reputable sources. There are other pages out there that hang a banner like ours and use their following to spread further panic than what we are already dealing with. If you’re getting information, utilize official pages such as County Executive Pat Ryan, The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, and other official Law Enforcement and local government outlets. The biggest concern with the virus is that it is new and officials don’t know what they’re dealing with so they’re taking all precautions to reduce spread. The world is not going to end, we will get through this as we’ve gotten through everything else, remain calm, continue the necessary steps to try and prevent spread, and overall just don’t feed into the hysteria and panic, things are hard enough right now, let’s keep our heads about us and do our best to get through it all. Thank you

As of right now there are only two confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Ulster County, that means in a county of near 180,000 people, only 2 have confirmed to have the virus. We encourage everybody to take necessary precautions such as washing their hands and covering their mouth when they cough but we do not encourage panicking or buying all the toilet paper (even though some of the memes have been incredible). As with any other ailment all we can do is take the necessary steps to try and protect ourselves. Our page will not be posting updates on this unless something absolutely dramatic happens that we feel our reach could greatly assist the public. Ulster County officials have been working very diligently to get a handle on things in our county and we feel they’ve done an excellent job doing so, pay attention to the releases from County executive Pat Ryan and the Ulster County Government for further updates. Thank you for your continued support
