About Katie Smith, Roselle Public Library District President

Katie was raised in Bloomingdale, attended DuJardin Elementary, Westfield Jr. High and finished up with Lancer Pride at Lake Park High School. She met her husband through mutual friends, and the rest was history! Today, they are raising their three children in Roselle. Katie started her service as a Trustee on the Roselle Public Library

District Board in July 2020. She has served as Board President since June 2021. Outside of her government service, Katie is an active volunteer in several local philanthropic groups. She is currently the Board President of the Flags for Roselle NFP organization, President Elect of the Bloomingdale/Roselle Rotary Club, Friends of the Library volunteer, and co-leads a Girl Scout Troop, preparing 21 spirited girls to become our future leaders. Katie graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services. She currently works as a local Realtor and strives to bring new homebuyers to Roselle!
