Through the generosity of Lester C. Noecker families and the Roseland community, our 6th Grade Community Service Project assembled 270 complete hygiene kits and collected enough additional supplies for nearly 200 more kits to support future disaster relief efforts.
These kits will provide comfort, dignity, and hope to individuals and families recovering from disasters around the world. Perhaps even more importantly, our students learned that they have the power to make a difference. Their compassion, leadership, and commitment to serving others have already had a global impact. We are grateful for the many ways the Roseland community continues to support our children, encourage their dreams, and inspire them to give back.

As part of the nationwide celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Mr. Giumara brought history to life with an energetic and interactive schoolwide assembly.

The event began with a special performance of The Star-Spangled Banner by the Noecker School Band, conducted by Mr. Gavarny. Students were then treated to Mr. Giumara’s engaging semi-sequential presentation, which featured his “time-traveling” dog, historical show-and-tell artifacts, and interactive games that helped bring the story of America’s founding to life.

Following the assembly, fifth-grade students took on the role of teachers, sharing lessons with younger classmates about freedom, patriotic symbols, and the historical significance of July 4th. Sixth-grade students also contributed to the celebration by helping design a commemorative banner, now proudly displayed outside the gymnasium.

It was a memorable and patriotic day of learning, reflection, and school spirit as the Noecker community honored this important milestone in our nation’s history.

What an incredible day for Roseland at the Essex County Gifted & Talented Committee's Challenge 24 Competition held at Millburn Middle School!

A total of 95 students from Roseland, Belleville, Bloomfield, Livingston, Millburn, Newark, Verona, West Essex, and West Orange competed in this exciting math competition. All students participated in four rounds before the top 16 advanced to the quarterfinals.

We are thrilled to share that Roseland's own Gabe made school history by advancing to the finals, the first Roseland student ever to reach the Top 4 at this competition! After advancing through the quarterfinals and semifinals, Gabe earned an outstanding 4th-place finish.

We are so proud of all of our Roseland participants for their hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, and teamwork. They represented our district exceptionally well and supported one another throughout the day.

Congratulations to all of our competitors on a fantastic achievement!
