This Old (Farm) House

This Old (Farm) House Built in 1877

We fell in love with this old farm house about 15 years ago. It was vacant and had so much charm. courthouse to find the owner, Miss Catherine G.

After driving by it many times on our way to my sister's mountain house, we went to the Nelson Co. We contacted her and found out it was her family home and she and her brother were the remaining children. They were still very attached to it even though they now lived away from Nelson Co. Over the years we have developed a friendship with Miss Catherine G. exchanging letters, Christmas cards and v

isiting her in D.C. In her eighties, she is full of history. She tells us the house was once an old mercantile store. It had add-ons to make it a house. We are trying to find pictures of the house as a store. — at Nelson County.
