Andrea Zielinski - Roseburg City Councilor Ward 2

Andrea Zielinski - Roseburg City Councilor Ward 2 Andrea Zielinski currently serves on Roseburg City Council representing Ward 2 - Position 2. Roseburg is my hometown.

This is where I grew up and have lived most of my life. My husband and I have lived in the same home and neighborhood for 25 years, raising our son. It has been my honor to serve and represent my neighbors as your Roseburg City Councilor. I was appointed to the position of Roseburg City Council representing Ward 2 - Position 2 in June of 2015 and was elected to the position in 2016 and again, in 2

020. Improving our community is a priority for me. Issues I want to continue to work on to help make a difference in our community are public safety, expanding the housing inventory, economic growth, and finding workable solutions to address homelessness. I am committed to working with community partners, fellow councilors, and city staff to tackle tough issues and work towards finding solutions and opportunities that will positively impact the residents of the City of Roseburg. Giving back to my community is something I am very passionate about. I currently volunteer and serve as a board member on the Greater Douglas United Way, Family Development Center, and Children's Public Private Partnership (CP3). I also serve and volunteer for Music on the Half Shell committee, Friends of the Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs committee and help coordinate the annual Shop with a Cop Program. I am a graduate of the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce Project Leadership class of 2005, Roseburg Ford Institute Leadership Program - Cohort 2 and a senior fellow of the Oregon American Leadership Program - class # # . My goal is to continue to serve the residents of Roseburg with integrity and optimism, being thoughtful and educated in decisions on issues that impact our city. I am dedicated to making our community a better place to live, work and recreate in.

Letter: Vote for Andrea Zielinski

I am writing this letter of support and urging each of you in Ward Two to vote for Andrea Zielinski this November. Andrea is a hard working dedicated public servant who has worked hard for the betterment of our City government and our community. She has served on City Council since 2015 and currently serves as the chair of the Library Commission.

I have had the opportunity to work with Andrea in her capacity as a City Councilor and as a dedicated board member for the Family Development Center, Greater Douglas United Way and Music on the Half Shell. She is involved in Umpqua Heart, Children’s Public Private Partnership (CP3) and Friends of the Umpqua Valley Police K9 program. Andrea brings her energy to these non-profit organizations and provides leadership through board membership and “boots on the ground” hard work.

Andrea continues to demonstrate her commitment to the Roseburg community by her involvement in organizations that make a difference in people's lives. Andrea has lived most of her life in Roseburg, and she has worked hard to make it a great place to continue to call home. She understands how difficult it is to make everyone happy on every issue, but she is always willing to listen and consider citizen input when making decisions. She also understands that loving her community and working to make it better is a key to being a good City Councilor.

Your local elected officials serve a vital role in setting policies for your community. Having thoughtful, hardworking and dedicated City Councilors is very important to our local government. Andrea’s eagerness to continue to serve in this capacity is one of her greatest attributes. I believe Andrea has earned our trust and your vote for Council Ward Two.

"Andrea spent many years as part of my team at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. I know her character and how much she cares about the people she represents. I enthusiastically endorse her for Roseburg City Council, Ward 2.” Sheriff John Hanlin.

I am honored to have received Sheriff John Hanlin's endorsement. My two decades at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office under the leadership of exceptional sheriffs, including Sheriff Hanlin, have instilled in me a deep commitment to serving our community. His confidence in my ability to represent Roseburg as a City Councilor is truly meaningful. Even though I no longer work for the Sheriff's Office, I remain dedicated to supporting law enforcement in my role as City Councilor and also through my volunteer work with Friends of the Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs and the Shop with a Cop program.

To my neighbors in Ward 2, I would be grateful to have your vote in our general election to continue serving as your city councilor, supporting our community and public safety.

Letter: Vote Andrea Zielinski
I urge our community to support Andrea Zielinski for the Roseburg City Council in the upcoming election. In a time when it is hard to find quality candidates willing to volunteer their time to serve in public roles, Andrea has proven to be the exception to the rule. Andrea embodies the vision and determination needed to propel Roseburg forward.

Andrea has consistently demonstrated her commitment to our community through her work in local organizations. Her extensive background in public service equips her with a deep understanding of the challenges we face. Whether it’s advocating for affordable housing, enhancing public safety, or improving our local infrastructure, Andrea has a proven track record of bringing people together to create practical solutions.

Andrea truly understands the importance of community. I have had the experience of serving alongside her as our community has faced some unthinkable events. I watched her serve selflessly, helping our community heal from the tragic shooting at UCC. I can attest that she fully understands what it means to be part of our great community here in Roseburg.

One of Andrea’s standout qualities is her ability to listen. She actively engages with residents, gathering their feedback and advice. This approach fosters transparency and ensures that all community members' voices are heard and valued.

As we face challenges ahead, we need a leader who is not only experienced but also deeply committed to the well-being of our city. Andrea’s inclusive approach not only strengthens our community but also enhances the effectiveness of the City Council. I wholeheartedly believe that Andrea Zielinski is that leader. I urge my fellow citizens to support her candidacy for City Council.
