🚌 **STIF FUNDING OPPORTUNITY | 2027–2029** 🚌

Umpqua Public Transportation District (UPTD) is now accepting applications for **Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF) Population-Based Funds** for the 2027–2029 biennium!

πŸ’° **Approximately $700,770 is projected to be available for the Douglas County area:**
β€’ 2027–2028: $350,385
β€’ 2028–2029: $350,385
β€’ **Total: $700,770**

STIF funding is intended to **expand, improve, and maintain public transportation services in Oregon.** For this funding opportunity, proposed projects must provide eligible public transportation services that **benefit older adults and people with disabilities.**

# # # 🏒 Who Could Potentially Apply?

Eligible applicants may potentially include:

β€’ Nonprofit organizations
β€’ Cities and counties
β€’ Special districts
β€’ Intergovernmental entities
β€’ Public agencies and other public entities
β€’ Private for-profit organizations
β€’ Public Transportation Service Providers (PTSPs)
β€’ Other organizations eligible to receive STIF Formula funds as a subrecipient through UPTD

Applicants and proposed projects must meet applicable **Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) STIF eligibility requirements.** Organizations are encouraged to review ODOT's application guidance to determine eligibility and contact UPTD with questions.

βœ… STIF funds may be used as match for other eligible state and federal funding sources.
βœ… Projects must meet applicable public transportation and Population-Based Fund requirements.

Following the application deadline, submitted projects will be reviewed through **UPTD's STIF/STAC Committee process** and evaluated based on applicable STIF requirements and UPTD's established Goals and Priorities.

Applicants should clearly demonstrate the transportation need their project will address, the services that will be provided, the populations and communities that will benefit, how the project will benefit older adults and people with disabilities, the amount of funding requested, and the anticipated outcomes.

🚫 There will be no fixed-route or paratransit services operating today.

Labor Day Closure Notice
