League of Women Voters of the Umpqua Valley We never support or oppose any political party or candidate.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization and tax-exempt nonprofit 501(c)(3), encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League of Women Voters has two separate and distinct roles. Voters Service/Citizen Education: we present unbiased nonpartisan information about elections, the voting process, and issues. Action/Advocacy: we are nonpartisan, and, after study, we use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest. We do not support or oppose candidates or political parties.

The League has scheduled a mayor & city council candidates forum at the library on October 8 at 6pm to 8pm.

Everyone is invited to attend the Oregon's Secretary of State visit to Roseburg on 9-10-26 - Tobias Read will speak at the Library at 6PM.

Oregon's Secretary of State will be in Roseburg on Thursday, 9-10-26 - Tobias Read will speak at 6PM to 7:30PM at the Roseburg Public Library. There will be a Q & A session at the end of his presentation.

The League of Women Voters of Umpqua Valley welcomes Braver Angels to Douglas County. Please join them for an informative meeting on Wed. Sept. 9th at 7PM to 9PM at the Roseburg Public Library.

Come find out what it's all about. The League and Braver Angels have similar desires - that is to encourage people to speak to each other with respect and understanding. And to encourage everyone to VOTE!!

Announcing Postcard Parties to reach out to NAVs in Douglas County Oregon - Join us to send postcards to NAVs in Douglas County. It doesn't matter what political party you belong to. You are welcome to help us fill out postcards.

Tuesday, Sep. 15 at 1:30 to 3PM (Set up at 1PM)
Wednesday, Sep.16 at 6 to 7:30PM (Set up at 5:30PM)
Location: Umpqua Watersheds' Clubhouse at 533 SE Main St, Roseburg.
The League will provide the postcards, addresses, stamps, and pens.

The 15th Annual Spring Garden Tour 2026 will be on Saturday, June 13th in the Green District of Roseburg!

Come join us in the Gardens! Tickets are now on sale at 3 different locations: While Away Books and My Coffee in Roseburg and in Sutherlin at Central Feed & Seed. Tickets are $15 per person, children 12 & under are free.

Come visit 5 private gardens where musicians and artists will display their wares. This is a public event and everyone is welcome.

Heads Up! ICE is trying to move in to Roseburg - Plan to attend the Roseburg City Council Meeting tomorrow Monday night at City Hall, 900 SE Douglas, Roseburg, OR at 7PM to 9PM. They have put out a request for proposals for office space on SAM.gov.
