CASA of Douglas County, Inc. www.casaofdouglascounty.org CASA of Douglas County volunteers are advocates for the children on their cases.

They are also advocates for abused and neglected children in a larger, collective sense. CASA volunteers educate the public regarding the scope of their community's child abuse problem. CASA volunteers can advocate with the private sector for financial, human and other resources to assist in solving the difficult problems confronting children. They can advocate for responsible change with the chil

d welfare and human service systems. The accomplishment of CASA of Douglas County's mission is dependent on the efforts and commitments of volunteers.

What does one trusted adult mean to a child?

For a child experiencing uncertainty, it can mean safety. Encouragement. Stability. Someone who shows up and keeps showing up. At CASA of Douglas County, our advocates help make sure children in foster care have a voice and someone in their corner.

Today we want to hear from you: What is one thing a trusted adult did for you growing up that you still remember today? Share below! Your story might be exactly what someone else needs to read today.

đź’™ May is National Foster Care Awareness Month đź’™

At CASA of Douglas County, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard. This month, we recognize the children in care, the resource(foster) families who open their hearts and homes, and the volunteers and advocates who stand beside them every step of the way.

Children in care often face uncertainty and challenges no child should experience alone. That’s why CASA volunteers work tirelessly to be a consistent voice for children in the court system, helping ensure their best interests remain the priority. 💛

You can help make a difference:
✔️ Learn about foster care in our community
✔️ Support foster families and youth
✔️ Advocate for children who need a voice

📣 Share this post to help raise awareness during National Foster Care Awareness Month. Together, we can help every child feel seen, valued, and supported.

May the 4th be with you! ✨

At the JBCC Spring Fair on Saturday, CASA showed up for the kids in Douglas County by turning our booth into a space for games, prizes, and connection! The fair was a true community win! Seeing all who spent their day making a direct impact in our county was beautiful, and we loved being part of it. Sometimes being a force for good is as simple as showing up and making sure every child feels seen.

Thank you to our Jerry Bruce Community Campus hosts for inviting CASA to be a part of such a meaningful day. đź’™

We’re at Workman’s Community Market until 3 PM today and it’s a beautiful day to support local!

Come down to 4550 Hwy 99 South to meet the CASA team, learn about our work advocating for children in foster care, and shop incredible handmade goods from local artisans.

We love events like this because they remind us what community support looks like, people coming together, lifting one another up, and investing in something bigger.
