Our 3rd city approved Tent Camp approval will hit 6 months on October 29, 2024 and as such we could lose the approval. We need more community partners to step up with financing to make this camp a reality...and quickly! With 2 successful camps nearing 9,000 Day/Nights of folks staying in them there is still an incredible need as you can see by the picture of Deer Creek Park that I took this afternoon. Roseburg Police Department has been doing a great job citing illegal campers but with no place else to go what really are their options so we need to stay diligent in providing more inner city camping areas off of our public waterways and parks so please pitch in!! Attached is the city signed and stamped 3rd camp approval and the plot map for 10 tents which will get 10-20 more people out of illegal & unmanaged camps in our city parks. Message me if you would like to help with security fencing, privacy fencing, porta pots, garbage and on this one we have property rent payments that will need to be paid.

As our 2 city sanctioned Roseburg Oregon Tent Camps Washington Bridge Tent Camp, Camps To Community thrive and pass well over 8,000 Day/Nights of folks having a safe place to call home we see more and more improvement!!! Washington Bridge Camp is over 13 months in operation and Pine Street Camp over 7 months now.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and giving Rob Gandy and Kim Gandy a tour of part of our operation. Thanks Rob and Kim for taking time to see how this program works.

Here are some pictures and the work participation crew in action doing things like mowing, beautification, and even assisting create food for other groups in the community through our participation with J&M Farms on Elk Island!!

As I stand back and watch some days I see that this program is amazing and gives participants a feeling of family and having a place to call home!!!! When did we start requiring people to have a house before they could have a home?

Also you can help with both the camps and the farms to make a real difference in someone's life. I want to thank Dora Haymond who has assisted with funds over the last 4 months to help with some of the porta pot rental and ask others to get involved if you can. We are changing homeless one person at a time and you can help!!!

Elk Island Trading Group, LLC has acquired South Roseburg Riverwalk, LLC which holds the lease with the railroad for the property known as South Roseburg Riverwalk south of Micelli Park along the river. The previous corporate owners, inclusive of Tyson Goff, have done great with some rough clearing of the land and we intend to keep that going as well as final cleaning and possibly gardening and other recreational activities. Additionally this property will serve as a 1.5 mile float from the South Roseburg Riverwalk property downstream to Elk Island with participants getting to see what is and will be happening on both properties. This is approximately 1/4 mile+/- of waterfront on the South Umpqua River that has many possibilities.

In Roseburg Oregon there is a 15+/- acre private owned/deeded overflow channel that services the South Umpqua River (non-navigable status certification) in the Winter time and/or high water
times. We are looking for a water recreational engineer interested in assisting Elk Island Trading Group, LLC to create a natural waterpark on this section of property for better use by people and wildlife. We want to create something like was done in Reno Nevada on the Truckee River by a group of people inclusive of Lynn Zonge. The goal would be to redesign the channel creating recreational opportunies and possible fish sanctuary areas.
