💙 Grateful to Gather at The Longest Table!

We were so grateful to be part of this year’s Longest Table and spend an evening gathering alongside so many people who care deeply about our community.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley had the opportunity to volunteer at the children’s activity area, where, in partnership with the YMCA, families enjoyed rock painting, coloring, and a little creativity while taking part in the evening.

We also loved seeing so many of our Board members, friends, and supporters of the Club gathered around the table—sharing a meal, making connections, talking about our community, and brainstorming ideas for how we can continue making it an even better place to live, work, and grow up.

There is something special about bringing people together around the same table. Thank you to everyone who helped create an evening centered on connection, conversation, and community. 💙

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We pause to remember the lives lost and forever changed, and to honor the extraordinary courage and selfless service shown by first responders and everyday citizens.

For many of the young people we serve, September 11 is something they know only through history and the stories shared by their families, schools, and communities. As we reflect on this anniversary, we can help a new generation understand one of its most enduring lessons: in our hardest moments, how we show up for one another matters.

Our administrative staff has pledged to perform a good deed as part of 9/11 Day’s Unite for Good initiative. We invite our community to join us by pledging a good deed of your own at https://www.911day.org/.

Together, we can carry forward the compassion, courage, and shared responsibility that brought communities together in the days that followed.

Our 2026 Ladies Night Out was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people come together in support of local youth. 💙

Whether you joined us in person, contributed a donation, shared a connection or idea, helped behind the scenes, or supported the evening in spirit, you were part of making this night so special.

The generosity, creativity, and thoughtfulness that went into the evening was incredible. Together, this amazing community helped secure donations that will support auction packages for both our upcoming 25th Birthday Bash and Celebrate Kids 2027, all in support of the youth and families we serve.

A special thank you to our Ladies Night Out committee, whose time, energy, delicious food, and behind-the-scenes work made the evening possible. From planning and preparation to transforming the space, set-up, and clean-up, so much care went into creating a fun and welcoming evening for everyone.

We’re also grateful to Better Together Events & Rentals for providing the beautiful rental pieces that helped us bring the evening together. Their wonderful selection and service gave our committee the perfect pieces to create a special setting for the night.

Most of all, thank you to this incredible community of women who continue to show up, give generously, share their connections, and believe in what is possible for our kids.
