The Roseau Police Department serves the City of Roseau with up to 7 full time sworn officers, 3 part time sworn officers and 1 civilian employee. The vision of the Roseau Police Department is to be leaders in assuring quality of life, safety, and protection for every member of our community. Community Guidelines.

In Roseau, Minnesota we are not immune from the occasional scam and we want to make everyone aware of a counterfeit scam that has been happening in our area as well as many other areas.

If your going to take cash in for goods or use cash for purchases, make sure that you are looking it over to verify that it is not fake. Check for security features such as watermarks, holograms and microprinting. Currency that we have seen also featured the words, "MOTION PICTURE PURPOSES."

If you receive counterfeit currency, be sure to document the incident and contact law enforcement immediately.
