🧨🪣 Fireworks Safety Starts with a Bucket! 🪣🧨
At this year's Police & Fire Community Partnership Day, Butler County Fire District #3 handed out 30 Bucket Brigade buckets as part of a statewide fire prevention effort in partnership with the American Pyrotechnics Safety & Education Foundation and the Kansas State Fire Marshal Office.
Many fireworks that appear to be out can remain hot enough to start fires hours later. The Bucket Brigade program encourages residents to place used fireworks in a bucket of water and let them soak overnight before disposal.
A simple bucket and a little water can help prevent fires in trash cans, garages, and around homes after the Fourth of July.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and picked up a bucket. Have fun, celebrate responsibly, and help us keep our community safe this Independence Day! 🇺🇸🚒
