Happy EMS Week!!
This week we’re celebrating our EMS Team, and all the things they do that most people never even see.
They handled 489 EMS calls this past year,
but that’s honestly just the highlight reel.
What doesn’t make the sirens & lights version:
-the countless hours of training (because “good enough” isn’t their thing)
-the daily truck checks, reports, and keeping everything ready to go
-teaching CPR, CTE, Health Class, helping at events, and just always being involved in the community
We’ve got a mix of paramedics, EMTs, and instructors who really take pride in what they do, and it shows every day.
They’re the calm in the chaos, the problem-solvers, and sometimes the ones explaining things in a way that actually makes sense when someone’s having a really bad day.
We’re incredibly lucky to have this amazing team serving our community, and we’re beyond proud of the work they do.
If you see one of them this week, give them a little extra appreciation, they’ve definitely earned it!!
And we can’t forget our neighboring EMS agencies, we work side by side on calls, back each other up, and rely on each other more than people realize. We’re thankful for those partnerships and proud to be part of such a strong EMS community.
And just a small reminder this week, checking in on each other matters. A quick “you good?” can go a long way, and that’s part of taking care of our team too.
