Proof of ownership can include, but is not limited to; Microchip, Vet records, Bill of sale, Photos, Registration papers, etc.

If the animal is not claimed within that time, it will then be evaluated and posted for adoption and/or rescue.

Happening tomorrow!

We are excited to announce the paw-some 1st step in getting a new and improved outdoor area that is safer for our four-legged friends! If you are able, please join us next Wednesday, September 30th, for this great cause!

The shelter will be open 2-5pm on the 30th rather than our regular business hours.

💙 Broly 💙

He has been with us a month and a half now receiving much needed medical attention, and he's finally ready to be adopted! We all adore him and want nothing more than for him to find a loving home where he will be spoiled. He is such a goofball that you cant help but love. He is so affectionate and loves to be loved on. He came into us in less-than-ideal condition, despite that it didn't diminish his eagerness to love and be loved. He doesnt realize his size he is quite the tank, but he thinks he's just a petite boy. 🤣 He lived with kids ages 5-9 and is said to do well. Due to him being so large he may unintentionally knock them over.

He does have a hard lump on his left paw/ankle area. He was taken into the vet for x rays it is from an old injury that was infected. Essentially his body generated new bone around the pocket of infection to prevent spreading. The vet said there is no surgery needed at this time. He gets around well, and the old injury doesn't seem to bother him one bit. Like most old untreated injuries there is always a potential it may bother them as they get older, and vet intervention may be needed down the road.

He tested well with other dogs here he seemed like he may want to play but wasn't quite sure. He was slightly more tense with a male, but still wagged his tail and no hair raised. Based off what we were told about his interactions with other dogs in his previous home, we dont think he'd do well with dominant dogs like most dont. Like all other adoptions we recommend if there's any other dogs in the home they meet here at the shelter prior to adoption!
