Ronan Volunteer Fire Department The Ronan volunteer fire department was established in 1912 following a fire that destroyed much of the town that was built on the banks of Spring Creek.

Located in the center of the beautiful Mission Valley, the Ronan Volunteer Fire Department serves approximately 12,000 citizens over 225 square miles in Lake County, Montana. Our members take pride in being a part of a great public service. The protection of lives and property shall always be our priority. We are rewarded with a great community that is very supportive.

Open debris burning on the Flathead Indian Reservation is closed as of December 1st. It will reopen March 1st through April 30th, during which time no burn permit is required.

This is a formal reminder from your fire department that open debris burning is closed as of July 1st. At this time, campfires are still permissible, but please ensure they are fully extinguished when not in use.

The Ronan Volunteer Fire Department would like to remind the public that as of July 1st, all open debris burning is prohibited. However, recreational campfires are permitted at this time, provided they do not exceed 48 inches in diameter. Please ensure that your fire is fully extinguished before departing.
