Youth Representative Application
• We are seeking dedicated and engaged youth applicants to serve on the Montana 4-H Foundation Board of Directors. You must be at least 14 by October 1 of the current 4-H year and be enrolled as a 4-H member the following year. The position is for youth who are enrolled/active 4-H members during their year of service, which will start at the July annual meeting.

Weighing your 4‑H animals is more than just numbers—it helps track growth, ensure proper nutrition, and confirm they meet show weight requirements. Regular weigh‑ins also help calculate average daily gain, dose medications accurately, and spot health issues early. For those without access to a scale at home, work with your local Extension Office to utilize options, such as the fairgrounds scale, local veterinarians, etc.

Residents in the Lake County community and surrounding areas, join us for a campus listening session and help shape Montana State University’s next strategic plan.

MSU is launching the process to create a new plan that will guide the university for years to come, and your voice is essential to setting its direction.

As the largest university in the state, the success of this planning effort depends on broad engagement from the people who care deeply about MSU — including students, faculty, staff, community partners, stakeholder groups and citizens across Montana.

During this session, you’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas, priorities and aspirations for the future of MSU. These contributions will help inform the goals and strategic priorities that guide the drafting process.

Input gathered throughout the spring and summer will be analyzed and distilled into drafts for review in early fall, with final publication expected in November.

Your participation plays an essential role in shaping the future of our university.

🍀🍀🎓🎓This week the Lake County 4-H Council honored Senior scholarship recipients at the Tuesday Council Meeting. They were awarded scholarships and cake was served.

⏩⏩ DID YOU KNOW: 4-H youth are more likely to graduate prepared for college, careers, leadership, and community involvement, gaining lifelong skills in communication, responsibility, and service. ⏪⏪
