We Will Never Forget – September 11, 2001
Yesterday, the Lewis University community gathered for our annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the first responders who answered the call that day.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the agencies and individuals who joined us and helped make this ceremony a meaningful tribute:

Whether you’re heading to class, walking across campus, or just having one of those days, don’t be afraid to say hello to someone new.
And if you see Comfort K9 Jet around campus, definitely stop and say hello — although fair warning… he may expect a few pets in return! 🐶💙

We were honored to be invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony for the Lewis University Student Senate! 🎓❤️
Congratulations to all of our newly sworn-in student leaders! We wish you a successful year as you represent and serve the Lewis University community.
And of course, Jet 🐾 was VERY excited to see everyone and make his rounds saying hello. We’re pretty sure he thought the invitation was actually for him. 😂💙

*All Handicapped parking spots are designated for handicap placards/plates only!
*EV charging spots are for EV vehicles that are actively charging.
*Motorcycles do not need to display a tag but MUST be registered to a permit.

🐾 Jet Had a Busy Day! 🐾
Jet had quite the schedule today! He started his day at the Fall Engagement Fair, where he made the rounds saying hello to students, getting plenty of attention. ⭐🐶
Oh yeah… Officer Geroulis, CSO Weitzel, and CSO Rivera were there too. 😂 We’re sure they helped.
After finishing his official meet-and-greet duties, Jet got back to work and helped with a Violence Prevention Training for an Introduction to Exercise Science class. 💙🐾
From building connections with our students to helping with important safety education, Jet continues to show that being part of the Lewis University Police Department means more than just wearing the badge.

It’s been a rewarding and exciting time as we kick off a new academic year! 🎓
New Sgt. Mark Atwood and GA Adeola Oloyede were busy attending New Employee Mission Orientation, followed by University Convocation as we officially welcomed the start of another academic year.

And as for Jet… well, he’s looking forward to the new academic year too. 😂 Don’t let him fool ya — apparently all that orientation and convocation wore him out! 💤🐾

We were honored to be invited to attend the Fairmont School District 89 Back to School Bash! 🎒📚
Jet had such a great time meeting all the students, parents, and families and being part of this wonderful community event. Thank you to Lewis CEEL and Fairmont School District 89 for including us and for putting together such a fun way to kick off the new school year!
