VVSD Staff Spotlight- Erika Fortman, Tibbott Elementary School Continuous Improvement Coaching Coordinator

Modern, 21st Century organizations realize professional development of staff members is a continuous process. In education, gone are the days when a teacher got certified, was assigned a classroom full of students and expected to be a finished product as an educator.

In VVSD, each school has a Continuous Improvement Coaching Coordinator charged with helping teachers enhance their skills, and lend a hand when students need additional support.

At Tibbott Elementary school, Erika Fortman sees her role as CICC as the best of both worlds because she helps teachers and students with good ideas to spread outstanding instruction.
