Request to share from Floyd County Schools Transportation Department:

Due to overnight storms that passed through our County, multiple trees and power lines have fallen across roadways.

Crews are working hard to clear them as quickly and safely as possible. Therefore, there may be transportation delays this morning.

Thank you for your understanding as we navigate our roadways. If you transport yourself, or you have student drivers within your household, please allow for extended travel times and use caution on all roads.

Thank you Animal Control for the great discussion on your job, PAWS and the many types of cases you work.
