Donate nonperishable food items to a good cause! Food donations will be given to the Utica Center for Development to support their programs for veterans and their families in the Rome area. Bring donations to the library Information Desk now through the end of June.

Due to extenuating circumstances tonight's vampire party will switch to a passive vampire craft activity. Crafts will be available in the children's room from 4:30pm-8:30pm!

You don't have to wait for Fall to get spooky when there are plenty of horrific holidays all year round! Sink your teeth into World Dracula Day at this fun vampire party for kids and their families on May 26th from 5-6pm in the Children's Room!

In celebration of World Dracula Day, the day Bram Stoker's Dracula was first published, we are having vampire themed snacks, stories, crafts and more.

Did you know that we now have a microscope you can borrow from the library? Our new microscope kit comes with both prepared slides and blank slides that you may use to explore! This item and other items in our "Library of Things" are free to borrow with your library card.

We're getting ready for Summer Reading at Jervis Public Library, but we have plenty of fun events to tide you over until July!

Highlights include Children's Bingo Night (June 15th from 5:30-6:30pm, registration required), the start of our seasonal Jervis House tours (June 30th from 11am-12pm, registration required), Teen Rainbow Prom (June 12th from 6-7:30pm, for ages 14-20), and All Ages Tiny Art Kits (June 8th until gone)!

We hope to see you at the library in June!

Shine up your dancing shoes and save the date, Jervis Public Library's Rainbow Prom is back and better than ever! Ages 14-20 are invited to attend for an evening of fun on June 12 from 6-7:30 pm. 🌈🌈🌈

Let's get awkward at the library! We will talk about changing bodies, keeping up with peers, gender and sexuality, and how to have serious conversations, including The Talk. Questions highly encouraged!

The World's Most Awkward Library Program is for adults and their children who are experiencing, or are about to experience puberty. If you have a question or a topic you want to make sure is on the agenda, send us a DM!

Life...uh... finds a way!

We're so excited that preparations are under way for our 2026 Summer Reading Program!

In the coming weeks, families with children (pre-K-6) in the Rome City School District will find Summer Reading information packets coming home in their students folders and backpacks. If you have an older student or no kiddos in school, we will have information packets available at the reference desk starting on June 1st!

Summer reading begins on July 1st!

We hope you are just as excited as we are for this dino-mite program!
