A sincere thank you to Clear Path for Veterans, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and the VA Vet Center for visiting the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) to provide our members with critical mental health and wellness resources.

Ensuring our airmen and civilian personnel have direct access to essential community and federal support networks is vital to maintaining the readiness and resilience of the EADS mission.

We appreciate your teams taking the time to support our members and their families! 🇺🇸✈️

The ringing of the bell… a solemn reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The presentation of the poppy… a symbol of remembrance, honor, and the lives forever woven into our nation’s history. 🌺

Today, we pause to reflect on the courage and selfless service of our fallen heroes. May we never forget their sacrifice and the freedoms they fought to protect. 🇺🇸

A huge thank you to PAWS of CNY for stopping by and bringing some much-needed joy to our team! 🐾

Today, our Airmen and civilian personnel had the opportunity to take a break and spend time with Holly, one of their amazing therapy dogs.

Our people are our greatest asset, and taking a moment to focus on wellness and resiliency is critical to our mission.

Thank you to the PAWS of CNY volunteers for your continued support of our military community!

Thank you, Col. Roos🇺🇸

The Eastern Air Defense Sector congratulates Col. Joseph Roos on his retirement following a distinguished 30-year military career.

Recently serving as the Eastern Air Defense Sector Commander, his leadership and dedication helped to strengthen and build the core of the Eastern Air Defense Sector.

Since commissioning in 1996, Col. Roos has excelled as an award-winning Air Battle Manager, an instructor to hundreds of future leaders, and a vital pillar of the New York Air National Guard.

Thank you for your service, commitment, and a well-deserved retirement. ✈️

Take a Stand👖

Today is Denim Day, a worldwide movement to stand against sexual assault and the harmful narratives that surround it.

This observance began after an Italian Supreme Court overturned a r**e conviction because the victim wore tight jeans, falsely implying consent.

Today, we wear denim to reject that narrative and declare unequivocally: what someone wears is never an excuse and never an invitation for sexual assault.

Stand with survivors today.
