3rd grade students wrapped up their Benchmark Animal Adaptations Unit in ELA by wearing camouflage or animal print and completing a fun and engaging activity. Students camouflaged a chameleon and had the task of finding them in each other's classroom. All classes had a great time of learning together!

Keep an eye on your student's folder this week: Color Run t-shirt order forms are heading home!

Key Details:

Form: Please fill out one form per student.

Cost: $12 per shirt.

Color Run Day: Friday, October 9th (Students who purchase a shirt can wear it on this day!).

Due Date: Friday, September 18th by 2:00 PM (Forms and payment must be submitted by this time).

Good morning Wildcat Families!

Students are JES are constantly amazing us with their positive behaviors. As in years past, we will continue with a PBIS reward system. This year, our Pre-K students will have the opportunity to design a Cool Cat Cap, and our Kindergarten through 4th grade students will be able to earn a monthly reward from our Cool Cat Cabinet. We will also continue with quarterly reward trips/celebrations. Details regarding the parameters for PBIS at JES are below. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Webster. We look forward to celebrating the many successes of our students this school year!

Celebrating creative, student-centered learning across grades this past week: Pre-K marked Green Day with thematic hands-on activities; 3rd grade used a s’mores lesson to teach the writing process and practical recipe-following skills; and 4th grade conducted a Book Tasting to help students explore literary genres. These experiences promote engagement, cross-curricular learning, and real-world skills. 💚🍫📚
