Happy Birthday A1C Elizabeth Jacobson!!! We will never forget the sacrifice you made during Operation Iraqi Freedom!

We will proudly honor your legacy forever! Thank you!

Today marks A1C Elizabeth Jacobson’s birthday. She would have been 37.

However, on 28 Sep 2005, 21 year old, A1C Jacobson paid the ultimate sacrifice, becoming the first Security Forces Airman, and first female Airman, to die in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

She was a well known and loved member of Team Goodfellow...and always will be. Her photo hangs in my office and serves as a daily reminder of “why” I serve, and “whom” I serve.

May we continue to proudly honor the legacy of A1C Elizabeth Jacobson and our fellow brothers and sisters that have made the ultimate sacrifice.
