🚒 Community First! 🙏

Today, Fire Chief Armando Garcia Jr. and dedicated members of the Escobares Volunteer Fire Department proudly showed up in support of our local church and youth organization at the Fields of Faith event, held in the Gladiator Arena.

We were on site as a precaution, ready to respond in case of any medical emergencies but more than anything, it was an honor to stand alongside our community in faith and fellowship. Events like this remind us why we serve, not just in times of crisis, but also in moments of unity and hope.

Tomorrow morning, the Escobares Volunteer Fire Department will be heading out to Central Texas to deliver a large trailer full of essential supplies for the communities affected by the recent floods.

We’d like to thank all the different agencies that donated and supported this effort, your generosity and teamwork made this possible. It’s inspiring to see how quickly everyone came together to help those in need.

These supplies will go directly to the families and individuals who need them most, and we’re hopeful they’ll bring some relief and comfort during this challenging time.

From all of us at Escobares VFD, thank you for standing with us. Let’s continue to show up for one another.

🚨 The Escobares Volunteer Fire Department & La Rosita Volunteer Fire Department are currently responding to a grass and brush/trash fire in La Rosita through old Highwayy 83 . We are working with multiple agencies to contain the fire and protect the area. Please avoid the area so we can focus on controlling the flames and ensuring public safety. La Rosita Volunteer Fire Department will have a Planned Controlled Burn this afternoon between 5:00pm and 6:00pm on Conquistador Rd in La Rosita.

Smoke will be visible in this area.
Between East of FM 649 and West of Guerra Garza Rd.

Several Volunteers, Firefighters and Fire Trucks will be present to monitor the fire.
