A request way made to have extended hours for people who work and cannot vote until after 5:00 pm. Commissioner Jaime Alvarez made a motion for it but Commissioner Roy Peña did not second it.
ROY PEÑA DID NOT WANT TO GIVE THE VOTERS OF HIS PRECINT AN OPPORTUNITY TO VOTE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER AFTER 5:00 PM NOR ON SATURDAY.
If you want to vote after 5:00 pm or on saturday, you will have to drive 13 miles to the county courthouse.
