The aerosol fire suppression industry, though in its infancy, has continued to grow year after year. The need for a light weight, powerful, cost effective and easy to install and maintain fire extinguishment system coupled with, and more importantly; an environmentally friendly alternative is very attractive to industry as a whole. Aerosol systems are currently installed in every major industrial and commercial market. The R&D being accomplished every year on formulations and delivery systems will allow aerosol fire suppression to take the place of HFCs (Hydrofluorocarbons) and HCFC’s (Hydrochlorofluorocarbon) which are already being targeted to be phased out of production.
