Friendly seasonal reminders for RM property owners:
• Grass and weeds: under 8 inches, please. Your neighbors will thank you.
• Thinking about native plantings? Great! Just keep things tended. A defined and maintained native garden is a gift to the neighborhood and our pollinator friends.
• Shrubs and hedges need love too, especially on corner lots. Overgrown vegetation at intersections blocks sight lines and creates real safety hazards for drivers and pedestrians. Try to keep it to 3 feet high near intersections.
• Inoperable or unregistered vehicles can't be stored in driveways. If it doesn't run and isn't registered, keep in in the garage while you fix it up.
• Storm drains: City crews clear leaf litter from drain gates regularly, but if you're walking by and see one blocked up, a quick sweep makes a real difference when the next big rain rolls through.
Thanks for helping keep our neighborhood great!
