Community Comment Guidelines
We welcome respectful and constructive comments. However, we may remove comments that contain:
• Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity.
• Hate speech or the suggestion thereof.
• Off-topic and unrelated comments that do not focus on law enforcement services or community safety.
• Inappropriate pictures, including nudity, indecency and inhumanity in profile and posted pictures.
• Defamation or threats to a member of this agency, a person, or a group of people.
• Name calling and/or personal attacks against our personnel or the residents of Rogersville.
• Comments designed to sell a product or service.
• Spam, including identical comments posted repeatedly.
• Language that infringes on copyright(s).
• Suggestion or advocacy of illegal activity.
• Links to non-governmental or unrelated/corporate websites.
• Any other postings that the Rogersville Police Department deems unaligned with our social media's purpose of serving the public with unbiased, factual information and resources.
