A visit from Wonders of Wildlife gave sixth grade students the opportunity to learn about dogfish shark anatomy through a shark dissection. Students examined and dissected dogfish sharks while learning about their anatomy and function. The presenters praised the students for their great questions and active participation throughout the lesson.

Learning came to life for 4th grade summer school students during their visit to Dickerson Park Zoo! Students explored animal habitats, observed wildlife up close, and connected their experiences to the research and writing they have been doing in class.

Last week, Base Camp 1st and 2nd graders read "Drawn Together", a story about a grandfather and grandson who connect without sharing a language.
