It has been an honor serving as Ward 2 alderman. I have met some great people and hopefully benefited the citizens and city in some way throughout the past almost 4 years. I have appreciated all of the support and suggestions to make things in our community better. I have chosen to resign at this time to pursue other opportunities. I will keep you as updated as possible and encourage others to get involved and serve their community. Thank you again for your support.

Today was great!

Today an incredible event happened at the park! The Rogersville Farm and Harvest Festival was AWESOME. We cannot thank everyone enough especially the Rogersville Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Rogersville for working together on this event. Seeing people walking the trail, kids running with ease across the mulch and so many people enjoying the park made all of the hard work completely worth it! The project turned out AMAZING and the ribbon cutting happening today was the icing on the cake. This was our last event for 2021 and we thought this picture was the most appropriate to share. Our goal has always been to improve the park and host awesome community events. With your help and community support we have accomplished some amazing things! Thank you Rogersville!!

Recap of tonight's meeting:

The board has chosen Altec as an IT provider.

Kyle Haden was appointed to the Board of Adjustments.

Roughly 3 weeks out from finishing the Redbud waterline project.

The corner if VV Highway near 186 was rezoned from commercial to R-1.

The grant for the new splash pad was approved. Construction will be a slow process as the city must follow specifications outlined by the grant.

The park project is still a couple of weeks out from being finished. It has taken a little longer than planned and many are excited, but please be patient and refrain from entering the fenced area as this is a major safety issue. Once completed, it will be a nice area for everyone to enjoy.

Have a great evening and hope to see everyone at the next meeting.
