📅 When: Saturday, May 9, 2026
📍 Where to Watch: Residents are encouraged to gather at Bradstreet’s Landing or Rocky River Park to catch a glimpse of the ship as it passes close to shore.
The USS Cleveland is a Littoral Combat Ship and the fourth Navy vessel named after the city of Cleveland. To help welcome the crew, 1,000 honor flags will be distributed at both viewing locations.
In preparation for this special event, the Rocky River Service Department will be performing beach clean-up operations today, at Rocky River Park beach Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
⚠️ Rocky River Park beach will be closed today during this time so crews can safely prepare the area for the weekend festivities.
⚠️ Bradstreet’s Landing will also be closed tomorrow, Friday, May 8, 2026, for additional clean-up and preparation work ahead of the USS Cleveland passing through the area this weekend.
