Nash County Public Schools will operate on a summer schedule from Monday, June 8, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026.

During this time, all schools and administrative offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and closed on Fridays.

Please note: All schools and offices will also be closed Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, 2026.

Friday we celebrated two extraordinary educators whose combined 60+ years of service have left a lasting impact on countless students, families, and our entire community.

Through dedication, compassion, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to education, they have helped shape generations and made our school a better place for children to learn and grow. Their influence reaches far beyond the classroom walls, touching lives in ways that will continue for years to come.

Our first graders had an unforgettable adventure on the coast recently! 💜🩵🌊🐠

They explored the wonders of the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, where they discovered fascinating marine life and learned all about the habitats that make each species unique. From colorful fish to incredible sea creatures, curiosity was everywhere!

The fun didn’t stop there—students also visited Fort Macon State Park, where they experienced the beauty of the beach firsthand. From walking in the soft sand to dipping their toes in the ocean, it was the perfect way to connect learning with real-world experiences.

Hands-on learning, big smiles, and memories made to last a lifetime—what a fantastic day for our first graders! 💜🩵🌊

Our WAVE family wrapped up the year with a delicious End of the Year Staff Luncheon! 💜🩵

A huge thank you to Mrs. G and our awesome Social Committee for treating our staff to an amazing meal from Something Different featuring fried chicken, potatoes, string beans, rolls, and sweet tea. 🍗🥔🫛🥖🥤

We are so grateful for the love, appreciation, and support shown to our staff throughout the year. It was the perfect way to celebrate all of the hard work, dedication, and heart poured into our students every single day.
