Administered by the Association of State Floodplain Managers, the CFM certification reflects a high standard of expertise in floodplain management, flood risk reduction, and responsible development practices.

This achievement is especially meaningful as Rocky Mount continues its participation in the Community Rating System (CRS), which has helped reduce flood risk and secure a 20% flood insurance premium discount for eligible residents.
