Hello, June 1! 💜

We have officially launched our 100 for 100 Fundraiser — seeking 100 supporters to contribute at least $100 to help us reach more voters, build momentum, and secure victory on Election Day.

This campaign has always been powered by people who believe in a justice system that is firm, fair, compassionate, and accountable. If you believe in that vision, I would be honored to have your support.

Will you be one of my 100?

What a day of community and connection.

I started the day at the Women's Day Brunch at Tabernacle of Deliverance Church, where I enjoyed fellowship and uplifting conversations with incredible women from our community.

From there, I attended the Mental Health and Wellness Fair hosted by the Rocky Mount Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. It is always a joy to see organizations coming together to promote awareness, wellness, and support for families throughout our region.

I then joined supporters and community leaders at Congressman Don Davis's campaign kickoff before wrapping up the day at the Tarboro Food Festival—supporting local small businesses and organizations, enjoying great food, and connecting with neighbors from across the community.

Days like today remind me why I love Eastern North Carolina. Our communities are strongest when we come together, support one another, and stay engaged.

A day filled with purpose, joy, and meaningful connections.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

On this Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude on their courage, selflessness, and dedication.

We also honor the families who continue to carry their legacy forward with strength and pride.

Last evening, I had the pleasure of attending The Power of Us: An Evening with the Chancellor reception in Rocky Mount, an evening filled with vison, connection, and pride.

Chancellor Karrie G. Dixon shared exciting updates on North Carolina Central University’s continued growth and future, and I could not be more proud to be a Legal Eagle. Great things are happening at NCCU, and I’m honored to be part of such a strong, impactful alumni community.

Eagle Pride. Amplified. 🦅

Yesterday was truly special.

Thank you to Gracepoint Church for the warm welcome at their Women’s Day celebration. It was an honor to worship, fellowship, and share my vision, passion for service, and heart for community.

A special thank you to Pastor J. Russell Harris for leading a congregation that beautifully reflects love, kindness, and support. And thank you to Pastor Stephanie Battle for delivering a powerful message.

A mother’s love is the first example many of us ever see of strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

Today, I celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, and mother figures who pour into their families and communities every single day.

As a mother myself, I know the love, resilience, and responsibility that comes with raising and protecting our children.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms. 💜
