Walk-ins are accepted all day, from open to close. Check wait times online before leaving the house at VisitDMV.nc.gov.

It’s been 4 months since we launched a new tool that allows you to upload documents, like your proof of insurance, residency, and teen driver logs, directly from your phone if you forgot a physical copy.

We’re excited to continue to allow more flexibility for our customers to complete the services they need without having to make a return trip.
