Franklin County VA Animal Shelter To promote available animals for adoption into loving homes. Puppies and kittens will be extended until they reach 6 months of age.

Dog adoptions $40.00 (includes vaccines, deworming)

All animals must be altered within 30 days per contract at adopters expense, we do have low costs spay/neuter options.

Our adoptions have been at an all time low however the surrender numbers have been at an all time high. Honestly, we don’t understand why. When you adopt, we’re hoping it to be a forever adoption and we understand things happen, but please remember to try other options before turning dogs into a shelter.

We have ZERO dog kennels open. We need adoptions, but forever adoptions! Please consider coming out to meet these great dogs we have, we have a little bit of everything.

We’re open until 5 today and 11-3 Saturday.

If you’re needing to surrender, please hold off as we can try to help you as needed, we just need to get the animals in our care to safety.

Let’s all work together to find these dogs and cats forever homes.
