Nash Community College Fire & EMS Services The classes are taken directly to firefighters through training sessions held in local departments and at training sites throughout the community.

NCC's Fire Service Training program is designed to provide individuals and firefighters the information and skills needed for modern firefighting through a variety of learning experiences and training scenarios. The Emergency Medical Services program is a comprehensive approach to the delivery of emergency medical care to the critically ill and injured. There are many key components that make up t

his system including transportation, communication, manpower and training, organization, evaluation, standard record keeping, and public education. The focus of Nash Community College is to meet the training needs of each component for the overall growth and development of a successful EMS system.

Another reason to be proud of our EMS program at Nash Community College.

We recently received notification from the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) that our EMS program's reported outcomes continue to meet or exceed established benchmarks for:

✔ Student Retention – 82.4%
✔ Credentialing Exam Success – 85.7%
✔ Graduate Placement – 85.7%

These outcomes reflect the hard work of our students, faculty, clinical partners, and EMS professionals who are committed to preparing the next generation of emergency medical personnel.

When seconds matter, training matters. We're proud to help prepare the individuals who answer the call when our communities need them most.

Our SkillsUSA chapter has been named a 2026 Model of Excellence in Technical Skills...one of the highest honors awarded by SkillsUSA SkillsUSA North Carolina North Carolina Community Colleges recognition earned by only 8 schools in the nation.
