Henry Fork Center is back up and running! After 3 months of closure and a very quiet building, there is laughter and smiles in the hallways again!
We have completed a great first week of the summer program. We had many returning friends and several new friends with us to get the program off to a great start. Students are adjusting well to some of the minor restrictions that we have and everyone is thrilled to be back!
Thank you to all who have kept us in your thoughts and prayers and for your continued support as we have navigated closing and finally being able to open our doors again. You are an asset to us! Bless you all!

Our students have been busy preparing for Christmas. They have spent time listening to the stories associated with the birth of Christ and participating in games and crafts that go along with those stories. Students have also been making ornaments for their Christmas trees and practicing for the performance at our Annual Family Christmas Party this Friday. Everyone is excited and looking forward to the holidays. The children and staff of Henry Fork Center would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We have been busy this fall at Henry Fork. The students have enjoyed many crafts including making their own tie dye replica of Joseph's colorful coat and a Parting the Red Sea food craft. Ferrum College students visited one afternoon and brought Fall/Halloween activities for our students. We are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas and can't wait to see what the holidays have in store for us!

Students have been enjoying learning Old Testament Bible stories this fall. PreK-1st enjoyed a food craft making Noah's Ark. 2nd and 3rd grade students wrapped each other in a colorful coat like Joseph's, while 4th and 5th tie-dyed t-shirts to have their own colorful "coat". Middle school assisted PreK-1st in decorating a "coat" of many colors and then had the opportunity to make one for themselves. The students are having a blast learning and creating their own representations of the weekly stories.

We had a wonderful first week back at Henry Fork Center last week! The children were excited to have the chance to come in and make new friends and see "old" ones. We welcomed some new faces and are excited to see what the year will hold. Our children took advantage of the warm weather and some free time to play outside and hang out with friends. Thank you to all the parents, staff, and students for making the first week back such a success!

Thanks so much to the Board and Staff of Henry Fork Service Center as I leave Henry Fork Center for the Jubilee Project in Sneedville, TN. I appreciate the love and best wishes at the Farewell Party. I know the Center is in good hands with the Summer Staff and Board of Directors

Thank you to Ferrum College E-Term students for preparing our facilities for the summer program. The program began on Monday, June 3rd, and will run through August 2nd. Thank Ferrum students and Rev. Jan Nicholson Angle for working with Henry Fork Service Center!

Henry Fork Center celebrated the last day of the Afterschool program with ice cream, dodgeball, and relay races. We've had a great school year, and look forward to the Summer Program which will begin on Monday, June 3, 2019. Thank you for your continued support of our programs for children and youth.

The Henry Fork Center celebrated Easter and Holy Communion on Tuesday, April 23rd. Rev. Bruce Tuttle (and Winston) led the service and our Middle School students helped the younger students. We continue to celebrate Jesus' life, death, and resurrection as we finish the school year.
