Mentorship is nothing new to internationally renowned wheat breeder Dr. Scott Haley. From training agricultural researchers as a volunteer with the Peace Corps, to serving as a board member of the Borlaug Training Foundation, to working with undergraduate and graduate students, Dr. Haley views his role as an educator to be fundamentally tied to mentorship: "Mentorship is what we're obliged to do. To have the privilege that we do working as university professors - it's a tremendous responsibility." To Dr. Haley, mentorship fundamentally changes the way that we address the agricultural issues of our time. Come to the table, and see the ways in which your perspectives can help change the world.
