As you enjoy time with family and friends this weekend, please remember to stay safe. Whether you’re grilling, boating, camping, or traveling, a little extra caution can help prevent accidents and emergencies.

βœ… Keep grills away from structures and dry grass.
βœ… Never leave a fire unattended.
βœ… Make sure smoke alarms are working properly.
βœ… Stay hydrated and watch for signs of heat-related illness.
βœ… Drive safely and never drive distracted.

Our firefighters are always ready to serve, but we hope you have a safe and enjoyable weekend without needing us!

Thank you for your continued support of West Roane Fire Department. Stay safe, stay prepared, and enjoy your weekend!

As of May 16th, burn permits are no longer required for residents in Roane County outside of city limits.

If you reside inside City Limits, please contact your local City Fire Department prior to burning to ensure burning is permitted within your jurisdiction.

Even though burn permits are no longer required for County residents, ALL Tennessee burn laws and safety regulations must still be followed.

For more information regarding Tennessee burn laws and safe burning practices, please visit:

https://www.tn.gov/tnwildlandfire/prevention/safe-debris-burning/permits.html

Please be safe and remain mindful of changing weather conditions, wind, and dry conditions before conducting any outdoor burning.

Stay safe,

πŸš’ COMMUNITY NOTICE πŸš’
With summer arriving and pools going up across the area, we wanted to make everyone aware that West Roane County Volunteer Fire Department cannot provide swimming pool filling services.

While we completely understand wanting to get your pool ready, there are several important reasons we are unable to do so:

Department apparatus must remain available and in service for emergency calls at all times.

Insurance and liability restrictions prevent us from doing so.

Water usage must be properly documented due to water department reporting and water loss accountability requirements.

Our trucks may carry a lot of water, but they are designed and equipped for fire protection and emergency response β€” not backyard pool duty.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support as we continue focusing on serving the community during emergencies and keeping equipment ready when it’s truly needed.

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and cool summer!

A few weekend reminders:
πŸ”₯ Don’t leave grills or fire pits unattended
πŸš— Drive carefully and watch for others on the road
πŸ” Have fun, laugh a lot, and enjoy time with family & friends

Thank you for always supporting your local firefighters. We’re proud to serve this amazing community πŸš’πŸ’ͺ
