Rockwood Water, Sewer & Natural Gas Rockwood Water, Sewer and Gas Utility is committed to our customers, the environment and the community which we serve.

We strive to preserve the public health and our environment by providing water, sewer and natural gas service to our service area in an efficient, safe and economical manner. We provide prompt, professional service from our team of trained employees. The utility is managed by a Board appointed by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rockwood, Tennessee. This Board is committed to good stewardship of the funds collected, continued improvement of the existing infrastructure and improvements in our procedures that will ensure the utility will grow and thrive for future generations. Our Board and management are committed to providing excellent customer service and a stable work environment for the employees of the utility.

The Rockwood Fire Department is continuing with the flushing of hydrants within the city limits today.

We want to inform everyone in Rockwood that the Fire Dept will be be conducting our annual testing and flowing of Fire Hydrants over the next couple of months. During this time you may notice that your water appears slightly cloudy or dirty, just allow it to run for a couple of minutes until it clears up. In the event you need to do laundry and are worried about the water try to wait until the evening hours as we will only be testing in residential areas during the day. Also if you are driving past or thru an area that you observe Fire dept personnel out testing please slow down and use caution while passing.

We are experiencing technical difficulties with our credit card processing that began last night. Our software vendor is working to correct the issue as soon as possible but we are not sure of the time frame. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

RWSG is working on water and gas issues throughout our service area due to the snow and cold temperatures. All crews are working in these difficult conditions to respond to all calls. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work as quickly and safely as we can. Rockwood Water Sewer and Gas office will be open during normal office hours- 8:30AM-4:00 PM tomorrow. The Board meeting scheduled for 6:00 PM, January 27 is canceled and rescheduled to next Tuesday, February 3 at 5:00 PM.
